What is Brightness in LED Screens?

Brightness means an LED screen light emission. It is measured in nits and indicates how well the screen can be visualized in different light conditions. A Brightness suitable for outdoor applications has to be higher than that required for indoor use in order to remain visible even when there’s direct sunlight, but not a glare. In contrast, indoor LED screens can afford lower brightness levels.

What is the Role of Contrast in LED Screens?

When an LED screen is turned on, there are those incidences which seem the darkest, and those that seem the brightest which is referred to as contrast; which is the metric that quantifies the range of tones within the colors. A dimension wherein all details stand out making the visuals startling is referred to contrast. It is the degree of difference between the light and dark regions of the screen regardless of whether the surrounding is bright or dark. Good contrast is important as the viewer’s experience is largely affected.

Resolution and Its Impact on Visual Quality

An LED screen is composed of a number of pixels and the resolution refers to the total number of those pixels that the given screen can display measured width x height, eg: 1920 x 1080. The higher the resolution, the truer the picture when viewing at close range. Resolution is one of the most important factors for large display, Windows as it helps retain all images and picture sharp.

For instance, a high contrast on a high resolution screen may produce blurry images whereas high brightness on a screen of low resolution may give pixelated pictures.
